New York launches ODR for Small Claims in Manhattan
New York, NY – The New York Unified Court System (UCS) has launched online dispute resolution (ODR) for small claims in Manhattan. The platform is part of the UCS’s push to address access to justice during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Michigan Supreme Court’s Justice for All Task Force released its Strategic Plan and Inventory Report. The Task Force report contains an inventory of Michigan’s civil justice system and prioritized next steps to ensure access to justice for all. Michigan’s MI-Resolve online dispute resolution system was mentioned as a milestone and an opportunity in the report.

The Delaware Justice of the Peace Court launched an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for Landlord-Tenant cases in early November, 2020. Parties can use this platform to resolve a filed court case online, without needing to “go to court” in person.

The Iowa District Court for Carroll County became the first court to launch ODR in Iowa. The court launched an online platform for the public to resolve traffic citations. Congratulations to County Attorney John Werden and the Iowa Supreme Court for leading the way. The court is using Matterhorn ODR to power its platform.
