Coverage of the Michigan State Supreme Court’s Launch of MI-Resolve

The Michigan Supreme Court recently launched their MI-Resolve program which allows some individuals to resolve their civil or small claims cases online for free. The program’s online dispute resolution and mediation platform increases access to justice and is powered by Matterhorn.

NCSC Trends in State Courts Report Highlights ODR for Child Support Compliance

The National Center for State Courts (NCSC) recently published the Trends in State Courts 2019 report that examines court technology and other topics related to the role of courts in society.  The report features an article from the 20th Circuit Court in Ottawa County, Michigan discussing the court’s process and outcomes using online dispute resolution (ODR) for Child Support compliance. The court launched ODR for Child Support compliance with Matterhorn in December 2016.

The Chicago Bar Association Highlights ODR

The Future is Now Legal Services 2019 event took place May 16 in Chicago. The event featured MJ Cartwright of Matterhorn who participated in a town hall style discussion on how online dispute resolution (ODR) can engage stakeholders to increase access and improve efficiency.

Following the conference, MJ Cartwright responded to questions from The Chicago Bar Association covering topics discussed at the event. The responses published June 26, 2019 on @theBar’s online site discuss the implementation, outcomes, and potential of ODR.
