Clayton County, Georgia, launches online traffic resolution
The Clayton News-Daily covered the recent launch of online traffic case resolution at the Clayton County State Court. Previously, if someone wanted to discuss their case with the solicitor, they had to go to the courthouse. Not any more.

Congratulations to Carson City Justice/Municipal Court for launching traffic ODR in Nevada. Previously, motorists in Carson City needed to go to court in person to participate in a pretrial conference. Now, they can handle eligible court matters online on their own schedule, from anywhere.

In early June, the Suffolk County, NY, Traffic Violations and Parking Agency (TVPA) shared how its online traffic court option has made a difference. Since launch in fall of 2020, the TVPA’s online platform, TPLEAS, has helped over 10,000 motorists resolve their tickets online.

The Pew Charitable Trusts and Karen Lash of American University created a series of case studies on funding access to justice initiatives. In particular, Michigan’s 20th Circuit Court in Ottawa County used Title IV-D funds for its ODR efforts starting in 2016. Critically, the Ottawa County court’s ODR platform provided important benefits for families and the court.

The Delaware Justice of the Peace Court launched an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for Landlord-Tenant cases in early November, 2020. Parties can use this platform to resolve a filed court case online, without needing to “go to court” in person.
