Arizona’s Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) announced the launch of five new court ODR sites. These sites allow eligible defendants in misdemeanor cases to handle their cases online.

March 15, 2021 – St. John’s University announced the winners of its 2021 Dispute Resolution Research Advancement Award. Researchers Avital Mentovich, J.J. Prescott, and Orna Rabinovich-Einy won the award for their paper: “Are Litigation Outcome Disparities Inevitable? Courts, Technology, and the Future of Impartiality.”

The Pew Charitable Trusts and Karen Lash of American University created a series of case studies on funding access to justice initiatives. In particular, Michigan’s 20th Circuit Court in Ottawa County used Title IV-D funds for its ODR efforts starting in 2016. Critically, the Ottawa County court’s ODR platform provided important benefits for families and the court.
