Read more…In the News: Texas Court’s Resilience comes from Online Access
Farmers Branch Municipal Court in Texas launched its system for online traffic and warrant adjudication in January 2018. Since that time, people have used its online platform to resolve over 5,000 cases.
The platform was invaluable when the court was closed in Spring of 2020. Kevin Barrett, Court Administrator, wrote about the experience in the June 2020 issue of The Scribe, Texas Court Clerks Association Newsletter.

The Press & Guide has helped to spread the word about a new option from the 19th District Court in Dearborn, Michigan. In order to create more access during this time of sheltering-in-place, the court now allows people with warrants to request review online.

The 16th District Court in Livonia, Michigan has had online traffic adjudication since April 2016. As of May, 2020, they have handled over 8,100 cases online!

May 19, 2020 – Doug Van Epps presented on MI-Resolve ODR at the “Expanding Court Operations II: Outside the Box Strategies.” Van Epps is the Director, Office of Dispute Resolution at the Michigan Supreme Court. Over 2,000 people registered for the event, which was hosted by the National Center for State Courts. Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Bridget McCormack moderated the event.
